形态特征（Description）：地生或半附生草本，具肉质茎。肉质茎圆柱形，长2-10（-20)厘米，具数节，包藏于叶鞘之内，在叶枯萎后多少外露。叶通常4-5枚，斜立，斜卵状椭圆形、卵形或狭椭圆状披针形，长7-16（-25)厘米，宽（2.5-）4-9厘米，先端渐尖或长渐尖，基部收狭成柄；叶柄鞘状，长3-5厘米，抱茎。花葶长15-60厘米，直立，具很狭的翅；总状花序长5-15 (-25)厘米，具数十朵或更多的花；花苞片狭披针形，多少反折，长2.5-5毫米，在花序基部的有时长可达1.2厘米；花梗和子房长2-3毫米；花紫红色至绿黄色，密集，较小；中萼片狭长圆形，长3-3.5毫米，宽1.1-1.2毫米，先端钝；侧萼片斜卵形，长2-2.5毫米，宽1.2-1.4毫米；花瓣线形，长2.5-3.2毫米，宽约0.7毫米，先端钝；唇瓣近宽卵形，凹陷，长约2毫米，宽约2.5毫米，先端骤然收狭或近3裂，形成尾状的中裂片；中裂片狭卵形，长0.7-1.1毫米，先端钝；侧裂片很短或不甚明显，先端圆钝；蕊柱粗短，长约1.2毫米。蒴果倒卵状椭圆形，直立，长6-7毫米，宽3-4毫米；果梗长2-3毫米。花期5-8月，果期8-12月。
分布（Distribution）：产福建、台湾、广东、海南、广西和云南。生于海拔2000米以下的林下、灌丛中或溪谷旁荫蔽处的岩石上。东南亚、琉球群岛以及新几内亚岛和澳大利亚也有。

Plants terrestrial, sometimes epiphytic. Pseudobulbs cylindric, 1-2 cm, fleshy, with several nodes, ± enclosed in membranous sheaths. Leaves 4 or 5, obliquely ovate-elliptic, ovate, or narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, 7-16(-25) × (2.5-)4-9 cm, base contracted into a sheathlike, amplexicaul petiole 3-5 cm, apex acuminate. Inflorescence erect; peduncle erect, 15-60 cm, very narrowly winged; rachis 5-15(-25) cm, many flowered; floral bracts ± reflexed, narrowly lanceolate, 2.5-5(-12) mm. Flowers purplish red to greenish yellow, relatively small; pedicel and ovary 2-3 mm. Dorsal sepal narrowly oblong, 3-3.5 × 1.1-1.2 mm, apex obtuse; lateral sepals obliquely ovate, 2-2.5 × 1.2-1.4 mm. Petals linear, 2.5-3.2 × ca. 0.7 mm, apex obtuse; lip ± broadly ovate, ca. 2 × 2.5 mm, concave, subcordate to truncate at base, apex 3-lobed; mid-lobe narrowly ovate, 0.7-1.1 mm, much longer than lateral lobes, apex obtuse.
